The political normalization between Turkey and Israel has its reflections also on the arts. During May and June, many Israeli musicians will be performing in Istanbul. The Turkish musicians are also including Israel in their concert programs.
The Grand Synagogue of Edirne, after a long time, is getting ready to welcome music lovers with a great concert. The young talents of jazz, Guy Mintus Trio, with Naama Nachum at the vocals, will be performing at the Edirne Synagogue on Sunday, May 22nd.
The ´Memory Storage (Anı Deposu)´ Exhibition, which will be presented by the Quincentenial Foundation Museum of Turkish Jews together with the Austria Culture International Office in Istanbul (Österreichischen Kulturforum Istanbul), will be meeting the audience on May 17th.
Photographer Selim Bonfil´s photography exhibition ´Jews of Izmir and Karataş Through the Eyes of Foto Gagin´ will be opened on April 6th at the Quincentennial Foundation Museum of Turkish Jews. On the same day, between 15:30 and 18:30, the signature day of the book ´Jews in Izmir - From Ancient Smyrna to the Present´ will also take place at the museum.
On March 14th National Doctors´ Day, Liv Hospital doctors, coming together with artists, performed a musical play titled ´Tedavüyyeü´l Musikiyye (Treatment with Music)´ in Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM). The musical, which has attracted great interest, received a standing ovation.
