A Meaningful Union at the Historical Balat Yanbol Synagogue
A happy day for the Baruh and Hazan families...
The Balat Yanbol Synagogue, which possesses Istanbul's historical texture and cultural memory, hosted an unforgettable wedding ceremony on Sunday, May 17th. The marriage of Suzan and Enis was celebrated joyfully, with a crowded attendance of friends, relatives, and community members.
The fact that a wedding ceremony took place in the mystical atmosphere of the historical synagogue after many years, excited not only the young couple, but everyone who witnessed this wedding.
During the wedding ceremony, traditional Jewish wedding rituals were performed with great care. The ceremony, which echoed with prayers, hymns, and the melodic chanting of the Hazans (cantors), was filled with both spiritual and emotional moments. The bride and groom's first step under the huppah, accompanied by their families and loved ones, was applauded by the guests for a long time.

The warmheartedness and unity felt via the historical texture of Balat created a festive atmosphere throughout the wedding. Elders of the community, while sharing the happiness of the young couple, stated that this special day had great meaning in keeping traditions alive.
In the newly built multi-purpose hall of the Yanbol Synagogue, whose history dates back to the times before the conquest of Istanbul, guests were served refreshments. The guests shared the young couple's happiness through celebrations accompanied by music.
This happy day for the Hazan and Baruh families, besides being the day two young people united their lives, will also be remembered as a very special day in terms of strengthening friendship, solidarity, and community ties.
We wish the newlyweds a long life filled with health, peace, happiness, and prosperity.
