Two First-Place Prizes for Carmen Dilara Bağış in Minerbio

Representing Turkey at the 10th International Piano Competition 'Città di Minerbio' held in Minerbio, Italy, the 16-year-old pianist Carmen Dilara Bağış achieved significant success by winning first place in two different categories.

In the competition attended by young pianists from China, Australia, South Korea, and other countries, Carmen won first place in Category I (for those up to the age of 17) and Rassegna - Category C (for those up to the age of 16).

The jury, which included well-known names of the international piano world such as Riccardo Risaliti, Oxana Yablonskaya, Giovanna Valente, Srdjan Caldarovic, and Youngmi Choi, demonstrated the artistic level of the competition.

Carmen Dilara Bağış's achievements in Europe throughout 2026 are not limited to Minerbio. The young pianist also performed on behalf of Portugal, winning first place in the competition held in Sardoal, Portugal.

Carmen won first place with 99.8 points at the Jurica Murai International Piano Competition held in Varaždin, Croatia, in April. With the degrees she has earned in the international competitions, Carmen is preparing for university applications, entrance exams, and the admission processes at music faculties. Competitions and masterclass programs have an important place in the academic and artistic development of young pianists.

However, participation in international organizations creates a serious financial burden for the family because of the transportation, accommodation, application fees, and other preparation expenses. Carmen's need for stage clothing for concerts and competitions is also a part of this process.

In order to support the young pianist's education and career journey, her family is looking to cooperate with institutions, foundations, brands, and individual supporters.
