A Significant Award to Aylin Kuryel at the International Adana Golden Boll Film Festival
At the International Adana Golden Boll Film Festival, awards found their owners. The film ´March 8 with Stella (Stella ile 8 Mart)´, directed by Aylin Kuryel, was awarded the Best Documentary Award.
Meeting for the 33rd time
The International Adana Golden Boll Film Festival, held for the 33rd time between September 26th and October 4th, ended with the closing ceremony held at Çukurova University. Awards also found their owners that night. While the movie 'Alone Together (Bir Arada Yalnız)' was deemed worthy of the Best Film Award, its director Ali Vatansever also won the Best Director Award.

March 8 with Stella - Stella ile 8 Mart
Aylin Kuryel's film 'March 8 with Stella', focusing on Stella Ovadia, one of the founding figures of the post-feminist struggle in Turkey, won the Best Documentary Award. In her speech, Kuryel said, "The feminist struggle continues to remind us that there is a way of existence outside the patriarchal system; that's why we are seen as such a threat."
A strong team
The documentary, formatted as fragmented conversations with Stella Ovadia about feminism, socialism, being a minority, and politics, was directed by Aylin Kuryel, edited by Kuryel and Eytan Ipeker, and its creative consultant was Raşel Meseri.
