"Disabled - Devre Dışı" Exhibition at Schneidertempel

The solo exhibition of designer and artist Geray Gençer titled "Devre Dışı (Disabled)" consisting of 20 works of screenprinting, is meeting art lovers at Schneidertempel Arts Center.

Gençer, who has produced many works from the cover designs for books published by Doğan Publishing to festival posters, is presenting his designs in this exhibition. In the exhibition meeting the audience in cooperation with Doğan Publishing, a selection of 20 works comprising the designer's illustrations that were created for the books.

The exhibition will be open for visiting at the Schneidertempel Arts Center until December 24th.

Geray Gençer started his Bio Design career as an art director in advertising agencies. He designed book covers and illustrations for publishers. His works have been exhibited within the scope of biennials held in cooperation with well-established and respected international institutions such as the International Council of Design. He has been rewarded the Gold Award by the European Design Awards three times. He became the first Turkish designer whose work was selected for the archive of the American Institute of Graphic Arts in 2012. In 2015 he was invited to New York by the Type Directors Club to serve in the Typographic Excellence selection committee. 

With over ten years of publishing experience, Gençer continues to produce works of graphic design at his studio in Istanbul. He is also a lecturer at Işık University Faculty of Fine Arts and Kadir Has University Faculty of Art and Design Department.
