Avishai Cohen´s Quartet "Big Vicious" will Illuminate Bozcaada Jazz Festival

Since 2017 the inspiring landscapes of Bozcaada have housed the Bozcaada Jazz Festival. This year on September 8-9-10, the festival venue will be the Ayazma Monastery.
The theme of the 7th edition of the Bozcaada Jazz Festival has been determined as "Play". Festival, inspired by the Dutch historian and cultural theorist Johan Huizinga's Homo Ludens (Playing Humans) aims to uncover the transformative power of "playing" together.
The event is once again bringing together the master names of jazz on the island this year. The festival will welcome musicians such as the award-winning saxophonist and composer Nubya Garcia, Kazy Lambist from South of France, the Israeli trumpeter Avishai Cohen and his group of Uzi Ramirez, Yonatan Albalak, and Ziv Ravitz (September 10), the increasingly familiar composer and guitarist in the European jazz scene Teis Semey, one of the pioneers of jazz drums in Turkey Ferit Odman, Meral Polat Trio, and Bozcaada Ensemble.
