Jerfi Aji's first solo album titled 'Alexander Scriabin: Poems, Colours, Flames' was released from Vermeer Records at the beginning of this year, as a result of a record award the musician had earned in the 2019 Sicily International Piano Competition. The concert organized in honor of launching this album will be performed at Arter's performance hall Karbon, on December 22nd.

During the concert, Jerfi Aji will perform the compositions of Alexander Scriabin (1872-1915) who is considered one of the most extraordinary musicians in music history with his innovative approach to the tonal system and harmonic structures he created in a synesthetic framework. The concert which will also include a selection of Claude Debussy and Enrique Granados's works, will be accompanied by an exquisite visual setup programmed by Can Memişoğullari, especially for this event, providing the audience the experience of being able to 'look through the sound'.

Jerfi Aji (1976, Istanbul), defined as the 'Representative of Turkey's glorious classical music tradition' by the Italian Fanfare magazine, besides his career in solo and chamber music, also teaches in the fields of piano and musical theory at the Istanbul Technical University's Centre for Advance Studies in Music (MIAM).
