President Erdoğan Talked to Netanyahu on the Phone

According to the statement made by the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey Directorate of Communications, Benjamin Netanyahu, who has been entrusted with forming the government in Israel, called President Erdoğan by phone to express his condolences for the terror attack in Istanbul.

Benjamin Netanyahu also stated that Turkey's mediation efforts between Russia and Ukraine were important globally.

President Erdoğan, thanking Benjamin Netanyahu for his call of condolences, expressed that they were saddened by the terror attack at Israel's Ariel region. Erdoğan also wished that the election results in Israel shall be beneficial for the country and the region.

President Erdoğan, stating that they had entered a new era concerning the relations between Turkey and Israel due to the strong will displayed by both sides, said that it is in their common interest to maintain the relationships on the basis of mutual interest by respecting the sensitivities and strengthen them on a sustainable level.

Erdoğan and Netanyahu also discussed the ways to take action to strengthen the economic and political relations between the two countries significantly.
