Contemporary Istanbul is getting ready to welcome its visitors to its 17th edition which will take place at Tersane Istanbul, between the dates September 19-22.
At the fair which will bring together around 65 contemporary art galleries and initiatives from at least 22 countries, more than 1,476 artworks by 558 artists will be exhibited. Some of the unique cultural initiatives from all around Turkey will also be represented at the fair. Organized in the framework of Contemporary Istanbul, 'The Yard' exhibition, which will be displayed in the outer courtyard of Tersane Istanbul, will feature 24 site-specific installations and sculptures by artists such as Renée Levi, İtamar Gov, Anke Eilergerhard, Ardan Özmenoğlu, Ayla Turan, Bedri Baykam, Halil Altındere, and Canan Tolon.
Akbank Sanat, the main partner of Contemporary Istanbul, will be participating in the fair with the artist Clement Valla's exhibition titled 'Other Voices, Other Rooms' curated by Bülent Kahraman.
The event will also include CI Dialogues by CIF, Contemporary Istanbul Foundation - Artist in Residence Program themed upcycling, and Jeff Koons' car design in collaboration with BMW.
