From the Museum of Turkish Jews: ´Kiddush Cup´
The ´Kiddush Cup´ selected from the Quincentenial Foundation Museum of Turkish Jews collection...
A Kiddush cup is a silver wine glass that is used for drinking wine after the Kiddush prayer recited before meals during Shabbat evening. It is also used during many Jewish festivals. A Jewish home is not complete without one.
On this particular Kiddush cup, on one side a menorah and on the other side a Magen David (Star of David) is engraved. It has been donated to the museum by Izzet Keribar.
