Quincentennial Foundation´s "Galata Tour" for Tourist Guides

In the framework of the "Judaism, Turkish Judaism and Its Venues" seminar series organized by the Quincentennial Foundation of Turkish Jews with the funding received from the German Consulate, the guides affiliated with the Istanbul Chamber of Tourist Guides (IRO) showed great interest in the "Galata Tour".

Forty-five tourist guides attended the tour where seventy-one members had previously registered. On the tour where locations such as the Neve Shalom Synagogue, Knesset Israel, Laleli Fountain, Italian Synagogue, Matzah Bakery, Serdar-ı Ekrem Street, Camondo Han, Doğan Building (Boton Han), Or Hodesh and Ashkenazi Synagogues, Camondo Hotel (the old residence of the family), Schneidertempel Arts Center, Camondo Stairs and Zulfaris Synagogue (old) were visited, guides expressed how much they enjoyed seeing all these locations together.
