Renan Koen Seen Worthy of Honorary Music Award

The pianist, composer, music therapist, and soprano Renan Koen has been seen as worthy of the Honorary Music Award within the framework of the "Nobel Peace Prizes of Turkey" presented internationally, taking into account the criteria of 'Human Treasures Living in the World', in all art branches on behalf of the famous world poet Özkan Mert who had been nominated for a Nobel Prize by the Swedish government, held in cooperation with UNESCO since 2015.

Renan Koen was chosen unanimously by all the jury members to receive the "VI. International Özkan Mert Honorary Music Award" due to her contributions that will set an example for humanity and our country with her struggles on the concepts of "tolerance" and "indulgence" through the difference created by her passion for music, in this century when these are vital notions.

In memory of World Peace Day and the 'Galerius Tolerance and Indulgence Decree's being declared on our lands 1712 years ago, the VI. International Honorary Awards recipients have been determined by Artshop Publishing, Fikirtepe Lions Club, Fikirtepe Lions Club SanataEvet [YesToArt] Branch, Nicomedia Academy Association, and the International Özkan Mert Awards Selection Board. The award ceremony will be held on September 23rd, at the Lions Associations Center, Historical Kilercibaşı Mansion in the Feneryolu district of Istanbul.
