We Are Commemorating the Holocaust Victims

The International Day in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust, which had been accepted by the United Nations General Assembly in 2005, will be organized on Friday, January 27th at Istanbul University´s Ord. Prof. Dr. Cemil Bilsel Conference Hall.

We Are Commemorating the Holocaust Victims

During the ceremony which the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey Ahmet Misbah Demircan will also attend, a Holocaust Painting Exhibition, a short-film screening, and a concert with Lindsy Özinci on the violin and Ozan Aktunç on the piano will be presented. In addition, Istanbul University's Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmut Ak, Alain De Toledo, Turkish Jewish Community co-President Ishak Ibrahimzadeh, and the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey Ahmet Misbah Demircan will each give a speech.

The commemoration event will come to an end with the Chief Rabbi of Turkey Rabbi Ishak Haleva's prayer and the Turkish Jewish Community's co-President Erol Kohen's lighting the memorial candles.
