As per Turkey's Daily Coronavirus Chart, as of May 5th, the total number of tests administered is 1,204,421, the total number of positive cases is 129,491, the total number of lives lost is 3,520, the total number of intensive care patients is 1,338, the total number of intubated patients is 707, and the total number of recovered patients is 73,285.

Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca via his Twitter account stated, "The decrease in the number of intensive care patients, intubated patients and the patients we lost continues. The number of recovered patients is another sign of success. There is a partial increase that can be expected, in the number of cases. We are in a new phase. We should not give the pandemic a chance."
