The exhibition 'Sections From The Turkish Jewish Life', which depicts the moments of family and daily lives during the Ottoman Empire and the first half of the 20th century, is opening at the Quincentenial Foundation of Turkish Jews Museum. The exhibition will be meeting the art lovers between the dates March 4th - April 5th.

The exhibition, prepared by Beit Hatfutsot in honor of the First International Congress on Turkish Jewry organized by MORIT (The Foundation of Turkish Jews in Israel), will be shedding light on the life of the Turkish Jewish community in the 1900s.

Beit Hatfutsot Photo Archive will present a real treasure with the collection including interesting photographs depicting the family traditions and lifestyles of the Jewish community.

Aware of the importance of this project for the future generations, the MORIT foundation has voluntarily worked to locate families and collect photos from their albums guided by the Beit Hatfutsot Photo Archive.

The common collection is in the Beit Hatfutsot Photo Archive and is open for students, researchers, and the public.

The Beit Hatfutsot Museum that is located at the Tel Aviv University Campus has been actively working since 1988 with the MORIT association, a foundation dedicated to establish a Turkish Jewish Heritage Center. This exhibition was organized with the cooperation of these two establishments to exhibit a common visual collection of Turkish Jews.

The exhibition that had been purchased by Gözlem Journalism Press and Publishing (Şalom Newspaper), is being exhibited with their contributions.
