Chief Rabbi Isak Haleva visited the Mayor of Istanbul, Ekrem Imamoğlu
Chief Rabbi Isak Haleva, Turkish Jewish Community co-presidents Erol Kohen and Ishak Ibrahimzadeh, previous president Silvyo Ovadya, Jewish Community Minority Foundations Representative Moris Levi and Turkish Jewish Community Spokesperson Deniz Saporta paid a visit to the Mayor of Istanbul, Ekrem Imamoğlu.

Imamoglu, amidst his conversation during the visit, mentioned that the preparations for setting up a ‘Committee of Faith’ within the municipality was continuing and added, “We have a ‘Committee of Faith’ project that we are planning on starting this term in our Istanbul. Our friends working on this project will also contact you. All the different faith groups may be experiencing problems or may have requests. We started this project for these problems and/or requests to be noticed immediately. We want everyone to feel happy with their own beliefs.”
Rabbi Haleva thanked Imamoglu for his works and achievements.
Concert at Kadikoy Hemdat Israel Synagogue
A cello concert was performed by Umut Sağlam at the Hemdat Israel Synagogue in Kadiköy, Istanbul, in the framework of the 50th Istanbul Music Festival organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV).

During the 32nd convention of the Conference of European Rabbis held in Munich, Rabbi Izak Peres from the Turkish Jewish Community was appointed as a member of the association´s Standing Committee Veida Matmedet.
Great Award for ´Jewish Cuisine of Edirne´ Book
The book ´Jewish Cuisine of Edirne´, written by Aydemir Ay and Dr. Yilmaz Seçim, and published by the Municipality of Edirne in three different languages, Turkish, English, and Ladino, has been awarded at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2022.
Celebration of Annette Bat Mitzvah Club´s 43 Girls
The 2021-2022 Collective Bat Mitzvah Ceremony of the Annette Bat Mitzvah Club, which had been established within the Turkish Jewish Community´s Chief Rabbinate Education Commission (HEGKOM) in 2002, was realized in the Neve Shalom Synagogue on Sunday, May 29th.
