‘Jazz in the Garden’ at Boğaziçi University
The composer and guitarist Bilal Karaman is going to perform a concert in Boğaziçi University’s Kennedy Lodge Garden.
The ‘Kennedy Jazz’ concerts are being organized in the context of BU+ activities that emerged from Boğaziçi University’s intellectual stamina. Next in line of these concerts that aim to improve the jazz culture at Boğaziçi University and to promote the young jazz musicians is, Bilal Karaman who is both a composer and a guitarist.
Guitarist Bilal Karaman who was inspired by Django Reinhardt’s adapting the French melodies with the Swing rhythms in 1930s, is revising the famous ‘Alla Turca (Traditional Turkish music)’ songs with fun Swing rhythms. The artist will share his last project “Manouche a La Turca” with the listeners on Tuesday, July 23rd.
