Holocaust Memorial Ceremony will be Broadcasted Online
The Holocaust Memorial Ceremony which will have to be enacted online this year due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, will be live-streamed this evening. April 20, 2020
This year nearly all around the world for Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) where the lives lost during the Holocaust are commemorated, online events are organized instead of ceremonies where people get together. Each country's Jewish community is trying to find a different way to commemorate, not to bring the crowds together.
Turkish Jewish Community, in this context, will carry out the Holocaust Memorial Ceremony on Monday (this evening), through Zoom and live-stream it via Facebook.
The Turkish Jewish Community executives have a message for the ceremony that will start at 20:30 (Turkey time): Let's keep a candle ready at our own homes, to light the last memorial candle together.
