Minister Koca via his twitter account yesterday evening stated, "5,035 tests were administered in the last 24 hours, 561 cases were diagnosed. 15 of our patients lost their lives. Our total patient number is 2,433. The numerals cannot express the pain of losing lives and the concern. Let us try to live with zero risk. Precautions connect us to life."

Yesterday evening the Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk and the Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca held a joint press conference.

During the press conference, Minister Ziya Selçuk announced that the schools would stay closed until April 30th, in accordance with the proposal of the Science Board. Selçuk expressed that during this time 'distance learning' would continue, and that compensating education was possible but the health of our students could not be risked.

In the press conference, Minister Koca remarked that there were old patients that have recovered completely, however obeying the 'staying at home' rule was critical.

Koca added that the young people were holding the responsibility of not only protecting themselves but also taking the care not to infect others.
