A Distinctive and Inspiring Rosh Chodesh Tefillah

Yoel Bar Mitzvah Club celebrated finishing their first year of Bar Mitzvah education with a very special Rosh Chodesh Tefillah
A Distinctive and Inspiring Rosh Chodesh Tefillah

This was a first in the world... Young boys who are about to reach Bar Mitzvah age, experienced their first excitement wearing Tefillin together with their fathers for a special ceremony in the Neve Shalom Synagogue.

At the beginning, the Rosh Chodesh Iyar Tefillah was recited by the Talmud Torah students. Rabbi Isak Alaluf and Rabbi Isak Peres’s explanations and the prayers’ being reflected to the big screen made sure that everyone attending the ceremony understood and were able to keep up with the prayer. The ambiance became even more magical when the Bar Mitzvah Club students sang the Psalms of Hallel prayer in unison, as they had learned in their educations. The parents felt very proud with their sons being the hosts of this emotional Tefillah. Next the children donated the tzedakah they had collected throughout the year to the Or Yom (a charity that helps people in need -mostly old or disabled people) being able to feel the happiness of making a mitzvah.

The ceremony which went on with speakers’ emotional speeches, ended joyfully with the children cutting the cake, especially prepared for this occasion by La Casa Catering, together with their madrichim.
