Renan Koen´s Holocaust Remembrance ´Before Sleep´ Concert @ Museum of Turkish Jews

Quincentenial Foundation Museum of Turkish Jews, which has brought many significant issues into our homes via online events, is bringing a concert to our homes this time.
Renan Koen´s Holocaust Remembrance ´Before Sleep´ Concert @ Museum of Turkish Jews

Pianist, composer, soprano, music therapist, columnist Renan Koen, in this narrative concert titled 'Holocaust Remembrance / Before Sleep', will talk about the history of the Holocaust and while playing music pieces composed in the Warsaw Ghetto and the Theresienstadt Concentration Camp, she will at the same time talk about the composers' 'Positive Resistance' as they call it themselves. She will convey, from a music therapist's point of view, the power of consistent creativity, and the contribution of this power to first to the individual themselves and then to the community.

In this concert, the audience, besides listening to the history of the Holocaust and the meaningful pieces played by Koen, will also be able to find answers to how we can heal ourselves during this COVID-19 environment that we are so overwhelmed in.

You can attend this event on Monday evening, June 7th at 20:30 (Turkey time) via Zoom or the Facebook account of Quincentenial Foundation Museum of Turkish Jews, free of charge.
