From the Museum of Turkish Jews: ´Megillat Esther´ In the synagogue, Torah is read on the Bimah (the slightly sloped stand) by turning the Torah rollers named Atzei Chaim (meaning 'Trees of Life') which the Torah scrolls are wrapped on.
Various examples of Atzei Chaim can be seen in the Judaica part of the Museum collection.
