Talmud Torah Caddebostan’s Challah Project with Mothers and Daughters

Talmud Torah Caddebostan once again organized a Challah Project with mothers and daughters. Overall 132 people participated in the event. Grandmothers, daughters, granddaughters were there. The event started with a short presentation where the goal of the Challah Project, importance of Shabbat, Challah bake and Havdalah ritual were explained. Guided by Suzi Gozcu, mothers and daughters kneaded the doughs and while waiting for fermentation, they had fun dancing and singing karaoke. After the doughs leavened, challah separation prayer was said. Following the prayer, mothers and daughters separated the challah. 

At the end of the event, all participants were handed out Havdalah kits as gifts from Hegkom. The kits included information about Havdalah ritual.

Ulus Jewish Schools Middle School´s young tech geniuses achieved great success in the 10th Başahşehir Living Lab Innovation Competition. In the competition where 220 projects from all over Turkey have competed with the "Innovative ideas are competing" motto, UÖMO students, standing out from their rivals with their "Natural Disaster Kit", came third in the middle school category.
