Sending Departed Hanri Benazus Off On His Last Journey

Hanri Benazus, known for the books he had written about Atatürk and his Atatürk photography collection of thousands of photos, was sent off on his last journey.
A funeral ceremony was organized at the Altındağ Jewish Cemetery in Izmir. Benazus's daughters Fortune Hayim and Keti Sigura, Tunç Soyer the Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and his wife Neptün Soyer, representatives of political parties and NGOs, and many loved ones attended the ceremony. Benazus was buried among prayers after the ceremony.
Tunç Soyer, the Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, expressing his condolences to Hanri Benazus's family said, "He was a person in love with Atatürk. This is a great loss for Izmir. We are very sorry. We will keep his name alive."
