World 2nd Place for UÖMO Students in Science Competition

The two high school students of the Ulus Jewish Schools Science Project Team, competing at the Korea International Science Fair´s ´Computer Science´ category, came 2nd in the world, with their project.

World 2nd Place for UÖMO Students in Science Competition

Ulus Jewish Schools (UÖMO) students attending the Korea International Science Fair (KSEF), with their project titled 'Strength Comes from Unity', have been awarded the silver medal in this competition where around 1000 projects had applied worldwide. The project that has attracted the attention of the jury with both its content and presentation, will also be published as an article in University Index which is accepted by the world universities.

The students applying also to the 7th Başakşehir Living Lab Innovation Competition with the same project, where 186 projects competed for the finals, came 2nd in the high-school category.

Ulus Jewish Schools' High School Manager Funda Kara stating that the success of the UÖMO Science Project Teams in the national and international competitions with innovative projects for many years, was the result of their continuous, disciplined, and long-term efforts, added, "Every year we are proud with the accomplishments of our Science Project Teams working in the leadership of their consulting teacher, representing our school and country in the national and international competitions successfully. The success tradition led by our students for many years plays a great role in setting their career goals. They are accepted to the internship programs of the associations worldwide, get scholarships from distinguished universities. These achievements also bring valuable opportunities for our school. At the beginning of this school year, we met with the executives evaluating and awarding our students' success in the Başakşehir Living Lab Innovation Competitions. We planned the events and trainings designed especially for our high school students. Starting with the second term our students will be studying programs of their choice such as Programming, Coding, Algorithm Reinforcement, Scratch Programming Language, Tinkercad Interface Usage, Arduino, Basic Electricity and Electronics Usage, Circuit Designing-Coding. We believe that these trainings will be very important in their future careers."

UÖMO Middle School Students´ Success in the Innovation Competition
Ulus Jewish Schools Middle School´s young tech geniuses achieved great success in the 10th Başahşehir Living Lab Innovation Competition. In the competition where 220 projects from all over Turkey have competed with the "Innovative ideas are competing" motto, UÖMO students, standing out from their rivals with their "Natural Disaster Kit", came third in the middle school category.
