An orchestra intended to help the musicians who have no steady income, during the COVID-19 pandemic is formed with the support of Kadıköy Municipality.

An orchestra, to support the artists who have no steady income thus have economical problems during the COVID-19 pandemic, has been established.

The concerts, where very important performers of classical music in Turkey such as Gürer Aykal, Gülsin Onay, Cihat Aşkın, Idil Biret will also take place as soloist and conductor, will be organized in the Kadıköy Municipality's Süreyya Opera.

In the project supported by the Kadıköy Municipality, many conductors, soloists, and orchestra players are taking place benevolently. Kadıköy Municipality Pandemic Orchestra will perform five concerts. The first concert will take place on December 7th with conductor Rengim Gökmen's and pianist Idil Biret's participation. The second concert will be performed on January 4th, 2021, with the conductor Oğuzhan Balcı and Gökhan Aybulus's participation, and the third concert will take place on February 8th, with the conductor Gürer Aykal and Bülent Yazıcı's performances.

The tickets for the concerts will be available at the ticket counter of the Kadıköy Municipality Süreyya Opera and via Kadıköy Municipality's website.
