Hanukkah candles lit in Nisantasi
Hanukkah was celebrated by Turkish Jewish Community on Sunday evening, December 9th, at Macka Sanat Park Nisantasi hosted by Sisli Municipality. At the last evening of Hanukkah, eight candles were lit by mayors, religious leaders, students, artists, and guests from all strata.
Nes Chorus led by Izzet Bana and soloist Cenk Rofe gave a performance and enlivened the evening with unique songs. There was a large turnout at the public candle lighting ceremony. It was the fourth time Hanukkah was celebrated in public in Istanbul.
