Rosh Hashanah, the anniversary of the birth of the universe, is the day God created Adam and Eve and is celebrated as the beginning of the Jewish calendar. The beginning of this year, Rosh Hashanah 5781, will be celebrated starting with the sundown on Friday, September 18th, until after the nightfall on Sunday, September 20th.

Rosh Hashanah celebration traditionally includes eating apples dipped in honey and other sweet foods that represent the wishes for a sweet year.
