The word Keter means 'crown' in Hebrew. The crown of the Sefer Torah, known as Keter, is a religious object symbolizing the power and command of God and Torah. The silver crown placed on the head of the Sefer Torah Mantel also has its place at the topmost of the Tree of Life in Kabbalah.
Various kinds of Keter can be seen at the Judaica part of the Quincentenial Foundation Museum of Turkish Jews.
