Memorial Concert for Pianist Ayşegül Sarıca

The renowned state artist and pianist Ayşegül Sarıca who passed away last year, is going to be commemorated with a concert to be held at the Süreyya Opera House in Kadıköy, on March 10th.

During the event where Elvin Ilyasoğlu will give a speech, works of Haydn, Beethoven, Faure, and Darmar will be performed by Renan Koen, Jerfi Aji, Gülsin Onay, Aydın Karlıbel on piano, and Sedef Erçetin on cello.

Ayşegül Sarıca, who had contributed to promoting Turkey with her works and performances in Turkey and abroad, and the awards she received, was a soloist and chamber music interpreter. She greatly contributed to the development of classical music internationally with her exemplary personality and the students she had educated. The famous pianist, a Presidential Symphony Orchestra soloist, had worked with virtuosos such as Navarra, Ferras, and Schiff. Ayşegül Sarıca who had served as a jury member in many national and international competitions, was granted the State Artist title in 1971. She was also honored with the "Chevalier de L'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres" medal by the French Ministry of Culture in 1974.
