Suzan Sevgi Awarded ´Chevalier (Knight) of the Ordre des Palmes Académiques´

Suzan Sevgi, who had worked as the Turkish Deputy Director at the Istanbul Notre Dame de Sion French High School for many years, has been awarded the 'Chevalier (Knight) of the Ordre des Palmes Académiques (Order of Academic Palms)', one of the highest civilian honors bestowed on academics and educators by the French State.
The order awarded to Suzan Sevgi in recognition of her distinguished contribution to French education and culture by the French Ministry of National Education, Youth, and Sports, was presented by Herve Magro, Consul General of France, with a ceremony held at the French Palace (Palais de France) in Istanbul, on Friday, March 17th.

The "Ottoman and Turkish Ketubbot" Exhibition
The Quincentennial Foundation Museum of Turkish Jews is opening an exhibition of Ketubbot (Jewish wedding contracts), some from forgotten corners of our homes, some as already discovered works of art, some from the walls of the collectors, some from the Chief Rabbinate Collection, on November 7th, at Schneidertempel Arts Center, after they have been cleaned and maintained.
