'La Boz de Oriente' used to be a monthly political and literary newspaper. 'La Boz de Oriente' (Voice of the East) newspaper, published between 1931 and 1939 in Ladino (Judeo-Spanish) and Turkish, was later taken over by Albert Kohen and published with the name 'La Boz de Turkiye' (Voice of Turkey) between 1939 and 1949.

Articles in Ladino, Turkish, and French appeared in the newspaper. The newspaper's office which had first been located in Eski Posta Han No:12 in Galata, was then moved to Yemenici street, No:9 in Beyoğlu. The newspaper, while it had been printed in a newspaper format in its first years, later started to be published as a 32-page magazine.

On the first page of the newspaper published in 1931 (5691), the director is stated as Isaac S. Algazi. The Editor-in-Chief was then Moiz Dal Mediko, and after 1939 it came to be Albert Kohen.

This copy of 'La Boz de Oriente' can be seen in the main section of the Quincentennial Foundation Museum of Turkish Jews. This newspaper was donated to the museum by Naim Güleryüz.
