"If We Observe the Precautions, Our New Patient Number Decreases, That´s For Sure"
Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca
As per Turkey's Daily Coronavirus Chart, as of April 22nd, the total number of tests administered is 750,944, the total number of positive cases is 99,674, the total number of lives lost is 2,376, the total number of intensive care patients is 1,814, the total number of intubated patients is 985, and the total number of recovered patients is 16,477.
 
Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca made some commentaries during the press conference organized after the Board of Scientists Meeting via video conference.
 
Koca said, "We are better, further in the challenge with Coronavirus each new day. The data we have, show us that the pandemic is under our control. However, if you loosen the precautions, this control can in one-second turn into an idle hope. Don't let the information we share openly think that this is it; whatever we do, we are getting results, this is the only certainty. If we observe the precautions, the death rate is decreasing, that's for sure. If we observe the precautions, our new patient number is decreasing, that's for sure. No optimistic comment should drag you to relaxation, it should give you the will to fight."
