37 cartoonists ´Cartooned for Peace´ and democracy, at the World Forum for Democracy in Strasbourg, on dates November 6-8.
37 Cartoonists in Strasbourg said "Cartooning for Peace"

37 cartoonists from all over the world including Izel Rozental, the cartoonist of our cartoon corner 'End of the Tunnel', have attended the 'World Forum for Democracy' in Strasbourg, dedicated this year to information and democracy. Cartoonists are the key figures in the fight for freedom of expression and democracy. They sometimes even defend the rights of others, at the expense of losing their own.

Besides Izel Rozental, among the 37 cartoonists attending the "Cartooning for Peace" Forum are, cartoonists recognized worldwide, like Kichka from Israel and Plantu from France. The cartoonists from all over the world, attended debates, conferences, and workshops in the rich program prepared.

As Patrick Chappatte, vice-President of The Cartooning for Peace Foundation in Geneva, well said: “Political cartoons were born with democracy. And they are challenged when freedom is.“
