Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca: "In Our Fight with Coronavirus, Today I Lost One Patient of Mine for the First Time."

Fahrettin Koca, stating that an 89 years old patient has lost his life, announced that the total number of cases was up to 98, increasing by 51 yesterday.

The Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca warning that the crowded places are the most risky ones, said that contact gives the virus the chance it seeks.

Koca, reminding that the death rate is fairly below the assumptions, said that the virus affects people with other illnesses and weak immune systems the worst. Koca remarked that the old people are in the high-risk group and the old people with chronic illnesses and weak immune systems should be very careful.

"The 89 years old patient got the virus from his worker who contacted a Chinese person."

 

The Minister of Health in his speech said: "Tonight I will inform you of a very sad news for you and all the public, feeling the same sorrow myself. I want to build this sentence apart from being the Minister of Health, as a doctor. In our fight with Coronavirus, today I lost one patient of mine for the first time. I am one of the people that was following his case the closest, representing the society.

He was 89 years old, he received the virus from one of his workers who came into contact with a Chinese person. I wish to God he may rest in peace. His family's sorrow is our sorrow, I wish them patience.

The positive result in the tests done today is 51 people. Our total patient number is 98. As I mentioned most of the positive test results end up recovering. We are providing the necessary health care for these people. The results in the world are well known creating clear optimism.

I am once again expressing my condolences to our people. I hope the patients diagnosed with coronavirus get well soon. I am calling everyone to obey the precautions to the letter. These days will not go on as such; let us arrange our lives according to these conditions, let us withstand for 1.5, 2 months."
