Anne Frank House and SEHAK to launch various educational seminars in Izmir starting October 18th

Human Rights Organization SEHAK in collaboration with Anne Frank House Amsterdam will launch a series of workshops, panels and educational seminars about the history of Holocaust and human rights, in Izmir, starting October 18th.

The educational seminars will focus on the universal equality of democracy, human rights and humanity. The content of the seminars has been adapted to Turkey in cooperation with Bilgi University and SECBIR (Sociology and Education Studies Application and Research Center).

Unique and interactive educational methods and materials will be used in the seminars and workshops. Participants will be given certificates. Admission to educational seminars are free.

Educators and secondary school administrators are especially expected to attend the educational programmes. Registration for educational programmes will end on October 8th. 

The participants will have the chance to learn about history of Holocaust and human rights through advanced educational methods and materials. They will review historic events and human rights violations and analyze the root causes and consequences of discrimination and stereotypes in today’s world. In interactive seminars, participants will interact with each other and they will be handed out materials which they will be able to use in their own studies.
