The nostalgic Galata tour will take the visitors from Galata of today to the ‘Kula’ of 1930’s enabling them to acquaint themselves with Jewish culture and heritage.

Starting from Şişhane square the tour program is a thorough one, where Neve Şalom Synagogue, Italian Synagogue and Ashkenazi Synagogue will be visited. The tour will then take you the fishmonger Avraam, greengrocer Nesim, the delicatessen owner Yomtov and many other artisans like them, for a breath of olden Galata, while discovering neighborhoods inhabited mostly by Jews in the past.

The Galata tour will be on October 6th, together with the professional tour guide and a writer of our newspaper, Mois Gabay.
