From the Museum of Turkish Jews: ´Rimonim´

Rimonim are placed over the top part of the wooden Torah handles also known as the Etz Chaim and are often made of silver. The name 'Rimonim' comes from the pomegranate fruit which takes place in the Torah and is a popular form in Judaic art. They can be shaped as apple, pear, or tower, and they represent prosperity.

Various Rimonim are exhibited in the Museum's Judaica section.
