The 2nd International Conference on Israel and Judaism Studies to be held in Bandirma, TurkeyThe 2nd International Conference on Israel and Judaism Studies Conference will be held in Erdek, Bandirma in October, this year.
Israiliyat Journal is organizing the second annual scholarly International Conference on Israel and Judaism Studies (ICIJS) at Bandirma Onyedi Eylul University in cooperation with the University on October 27-29, 2018. The first conference was held in Konya, in 2017.
As an academic conference, ICIJS’18 aims to cover Israel and Judaism studies with a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approach incorporating various fields including history, politics, sociology, culture, and religion. According to the organization’s press statement, the mission of ICIJS’18 is to provide a platform for academics, students, and researchers from both Turkey and abroad where they can present the findings of their researches and studies they conducted on Judaism and Israel.
ICIJS’18 also announced that this year for the second time, distinguished dissertation awards will be given to distinguished dissertations on Israel and Judaism Studies in history, politics and religion categories in both the M.A. and PhD levels. Also, for the first time this year, original and translated books having scientific research methods will be awarded.
ICIJS’18 invites faculty members, graduate students, and independent researchers from all over the world to participate in the 2018 annual conference. The presentations and sessions will be held both in Turkish and English.
