Nes and Estreyikas D’estambol returns from SANSEV Festival with an award

The 6th Artists and Art Lovers Culture and Solidarity Association’s (SANSEV) Istanbul International Polyphonic Choirs Festival hosted by Maltepe Municipality was held between May 3-6, 2018.

104 choirs from 21 different cities participated in the festival, this year. For 4 days, choirs in children, teenagers and adults’ categories took the stage and gave performances.

This year, Nes Choir and Estreyikas D’Estambol Choir instructed and led by Izzet Bana, were invited to the Festival. Both choirs took the stage on May 3rd. The choirs successfully performed songs in Judeo-Espanyol language and were widely acclaimed.

At the end of the festival, 18 choirs were granted awards. Nes and Estreyikas D’Estambol Choirs were among the 18 choirs. The Cantate Interpretation Achievement Award went to Izzet Bana.

Sirnak Choir’s performance of Hava Nagila song was one of the highlights of the festival.
