“A Bursa Tale” from Izzet Keribar’s Lens

Photos from Izzet Keribar’s photo shoot of the city Bursa, sponsored by Bursa Metropolitan Municipality were compiled and published in a book.  The book with the title ‘A Bursa Tale” along with 5 different books were launched on August 10th, at a press meeting held in Bursa Hancerli Medresesi Cultural Center. 

Congratulating the authors for their hard work, Bursa Mayor Recep Altepe said, “The book, ‘A Bursa Tale’ is the result of Izzet Keribar’s one year of hard work. Last year the accomplished photographer, Keribar, celebrated his 61st year in photography. For this occasion, the photographer wanted to portray the city of Bursa with its historical and touristic landmarks, natural beauties, traditions, cultural legacy, social life and all other features and took over 6.000 photos. The selected photos were compiled for an exhibition sponsored by our Municipality. With this project, there is now a very broad archive of Bursa photos. Some of these photos that shed light on Bursa’s natural, historical, cultural and social life were compiled and published in a book.”

Also, the illustrations in the "Holidays" series (consisting of 11 books) designed for children, belong to both of them. The stories are written and translated into English (from Turkish) by Vivet.
